Yukana Kishi (岸 優花菜, Kishi Yukana) is an antagonist in the Romantic Killer series. She is the unstable stalker of Tsukasa Kazuki in her twenties who fell in love with and stalked him when he was still in junior high. She is the cause of his fear of being around women who are attracted to him and his seemingly cold disposition.
Appearance[]
Kishi is a young woman in her twenties. She usually has a mild smile and sometimes moves in a stagger, especially when approaching Kazuki.
Her hair is upper-back length, dark-red/burgundy, and has short bangs hanging above her eyebrows. Except for minor changes in her hair length, her hair is never seen to change otherwise throughout her apperances.
Her eyes match her hair color and depict her mental instability and creepiness. A light circle surrounds her black pupils. Her eyes do not reflect light. She sometimes has small contracted irises, particularly when she is obsessing over Kazuki or in shock.
In Tsukasa Kazuki's flashbacks, Kishi wears a navy colored suit jacket, a frilled shirt, and a long skirt that goes past her knees. When she was in the anime, unlike the manga, when she stalks Kazuki in his middle-school days, she wears exclusively the navy-colored suit jacket.
When Anzu Hoshino confronts her on two other occasions, Kishi has a blue skirt or a one piece dress with the same color.
Personality[]
Kishi exhibits many severe yandere stalking tendencies, such as waiting for Tsukasa Kazuki before and after school, taking pictures of him when he is at school and at home without his knowing, sending him packages under false names and even drugging him so they can be alone in his room.
Kishi is delusional about her relationship with Kazuki. Despite having never hold a conversation with Kazuki beyond simple greetings and confrontations regarding her actions, Kishi believes they are lovers who are discouraged by their friends and family members from seeing each other. Despite being a working adult in her twenties, she believes their age gap should not get in the way of the romantic relationship she believes they have.
Since Riri wiped her memories of the last couple years, her personality probably changed as a result.
Etymology[]
- The name Yukana means "excellence, superiority, gentleness" (黒人) (yu), "flower, blossom" (花) (ka) and "vegetables, greens" (菜) (na).
- The kanji "優" is ironic considering her obsessive nature with Tsukasa Kazuki.
- Yukana's surname Kishi means "shore, bank, coast" (黒人).
